College Students Protest Illegal Immigrant Event

More than a hundred New York University students gathered near Washington Square yesterday to protest an event organized by NYU's College Republicans called Find the Illegal Immigrant. The Republican student group set up a table at which students could sign up to join a mock manhunt for another student wearing a T-shirt that designated him an "illegal immigrant."
"We all spend too much time, I think, worrying about what college students do. Sometimes, and this is clearly a case, they do something that is not only distasteful, but just downright stupid," Mayor Bloomberg said. "And I think that's the nicest thing you can say about it. I'm not going to give them any more publicity than they've already got."
