Grill Workers To Sue, Alleging $1.40 Wages
A group of 44 workers at the Ollie's Noodle Shop and Grill restaurant chain plan to file a federal lawsuit today alleging they are paid as little as $1.40 an hour — well below the federal minimum wage.
No one at Ollie's, which has several restaurants around the city, could be reached for comment.
The suit will be filed on behalf of deliverymen, busboys, and preparers.
Last week, several workers at another restaurant, Saigon Grill Vietnamese, filed a similar lawsuit alleging they are paid less than the legal minimum and forced to reimburse the store for deliveries when they are robbed.
