Highlights of New York University's "Welcome Week" activities for incoming freshman:

• Facebook in the Flesh: Meeting new people face to face can be intimidating. The workshop focuses on building social networks in person.

• Guess the Straight Person: Audience members guess which panelists identify themselves as straight after posing questions to queer and straight students.

• Coney Island Beach Party: Come to Coney Island before it's torn down. Labor Day weekend beach party.

• Hot Dog! A hot dog tour of the Village, with hot dog highlights of the neighborhood.
