Murder-Suicide Reported in Queens

Police were investigating an apparent murder-suicide last night in Queens, police said.

Police said they believe it happened around 8 p.m., when officers were called to an apartment on 49th Street in Long Island City.

When they entered the home, they found a man and a woman, both with gunshot wounds to the head. Police recovered a .22 caliber pistol at the scene.

Last night, police identified the woman as Gabrielle Alcivir, 21. They did not identify the man pending family notification.

As of last night, it was not immediately clear who was responsible for the deaths.
