Mutilated Corpse Discovered in Brooklyn

By Special to the Sun | April 4, 2007

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found in a Brooklyn bathtub yesterday with gashes to his face and neck, police officials said.

The man's body was discovered at about 9:30 a.m. in the bathroom of his apartment at 1051 Eastern Parkway in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn after police got a call from a friend, police said.

Police brought the body to a Brooklyn medical examiner, where it will be determined if the wounds that led to the victim's death will prompt a murder investigation, or if the lacerations were self inflicted, police said.
