Pedestrian Hit By Several Vehicles

By Associated Press | July 29, 2008

New York City police say a pedestrian killed on the Major Deegan Expressway was hit by several vehicles — and only one of them stopped.

The man was killed around 3 a.m. yesterday on the southbound highway in the Bronx.

Police say the driver who first hit the man pulled over to help him. But then several other vehicles ran over him again, and kept on going.

EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
