Police Investigate Murders In Brooklyn and Queens

Police are investigating two separate slayings that occurred yesterday in Queens and Brooklyn, police said.

Police discovered Luis Ruiz, 25, who was shot in the stomach about 3:15 a.m. in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. He was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital. A man with Ruiz sustained blows to the head, police said. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is in stable condition, police said.

Earlier, police found a 20-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times in the chest and legs in the Jamaica section of Queens. He was later pronounced dead at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
