Police: Man Trailed, Killed Following Traffic Dispute

Investigators are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man during a traffic dispute early yesterday morning in Brooklyn, police officials said.

Edwin Roman, 24, was shot twice in the chest at about 3:50 a. m. inside a parking lot at 330 Hudson Walk in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, police said. Investigators believe the suspect tailed Roman to the building after the two had entered into a traffic dispute blocks away from the scene of the shooting, police said.

Police found Roman's body in the parking lot after responding to a 911 emergency call that gunshots had been fired at the location.

It was unclear why Roman had driven to the parking lot after leaving the scene of the argument, police said.

A resident of the building at 330 Hudson Walk, who in fear of the suspect would not identify herself, said she was startled by two gunshots and a woman screaming the name "Eddie" just before 4 a.m.

After shooting Roman, the suspect drove away from the parking lot in an unknown direction, police said.

Emergency medical service technicians arrived at the scene minutes after the shooting, but were unable to save Roman, police said. He was pronounced dead at about 4:05 a.m.
