By Special to the Sun | April 30, 2007

Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run that left a 14-year-old boy dead yesterday in Brooklyn, police officials said.

Anthony Delgado was killed when a black Jeep struck him while he was riding his bike in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn about midnight, police said. The driver fled before police arrived to the scene at the corner of Palmetto Street and Central Avenue, just blocks from the boy's home, police said.

Delgado was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:40 a.m.
