Poll: 61% Approval Rating for Spitzer

By Special to the Sun | February 14, 2007

New Yorkers like the job Governor Spitzer is doing, with 61% of voters approving of his "steamroller" style, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday. In the same survey, 72% of 1,049 voters in New York polled between February 6 and 11 said the state's Medicaid system "needs to be fixed." While 66% said healthcare in their communities is "excellent" or "good," the same percentage said it was the state's responsibility to make sure everyone has health insurance.
