A man who went on a stabbing spree that left his wife dead and his 7-year-old daughter injured was awaiting arraignment on murder charges last night in criminal court in Queens, officials said. Police had already decided to charge Balbir Singh, 34, with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly stabbing his wife, Bubita Rani, 29, to death and injuring his daughter in a fit of rage on Sunday night, officials said.
