Woman in Labor Jumps Curb, Hits Bystander

Police say a pregnant woman went into labor while driving and hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk near Rockefeller Center.

The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. yesterday on 49th Street near NBC's "Today" television studio and the famous ice skating rink.

Police say the woman went into labor, jumped the curb, and drove onto the plaza, hitting the bystander.

The pedestrian suffered a minor leg injury and is hospitalized along with the driver. Their injuries weren't serious.

Police say they do not plan to file criminal charges.
