KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — A clash in southern Afghanistan killed a Danish soldier and wounded two others yesterday, officials said. A separate attack on a NATO patrol killed two British troops, officials said.
The clash with insurgents in volatile Helmand province brought to 14 the number of Danish troops who have been killed in Afghanistan since Denmark joined the American-led coalition in 2002.
The blast that struck another NATO patrol in the same province killed two members of 40 Commando Royal Marines, Britain's Ministry of Defense said.
