NEXT WEEK Benenson Capital Partners LLC marks its 100th anniversary with three nights of viewing parties for a special exhibition of art collected by the late Charles Benenson, the creative dealmaker who took over the business of his father, Benjamin Benenson, and transformed it into a national developer and manager of commercial real estate with more than 200 properties worldwide. The hosts of the celebration are Charles Benenson's three sons, Frederick, Lawrence, and Bruce, who are equal partners in the privatelyheld company, with Lawrence most actively involved in the business and the anniversary celebration, from choosing which paintings to hang (artists include Picasso, Matisse, Klee, and Kandinsky) to designing the cocktail napkins. "We want people to know, we're thriving and growing," Lawrence said. "We will keep our father's legacy alive and make it our legacy." That legacy, Lawrence said, includes making deals that make sense as well as contributing to nonprofits such as the Realty Foundation, the New York Junior Tennis League, the Inner City Scholarship Fund, and the Museum of African Art.
