For his menswear runway show Monday, designer Thom Browne transformed the Exit Art Gallery on West 36th Street into a striped circus tent, but the most eye-catching designs were for sideshow habitués: a suit with Siamese pants (for two, of course) in Mr. Browne's signature gray worsted, and webbed coats and trousers paired with a masculine bonnet.
Monochrome ruled as usual, but patterns broadened to include argyles, plaids, and awning stripes. Stand-out looks included a six-pocket car coat in wool felt, and a black formal overcoat with grosgrain piping.
