SIBERIAN SCENES Anna Shteynshleyger’s photographs of contemporary Siberia are on view at Moti Hasson Gallery. Ms. Shteynshleyger grew up in Moscow, emigrated to America in 1992 at 15, and traveled to Siberia in 2001 and 2002 to photograph a series of mostly barren landscapes. TREE TIME An exhibit marks the 40th anniversary of Alan Sonf ist’s “Time Landscape,” a grove of trees installed as an art project at the intersection of Houston Street and LaGuardia Place. Mr. Sonfist made the first proposal in 1965 and the work was completed in 1978 under Mayor Koch. The new gallery exhibit, “Time Landscape: Reflection,” includes original artwork, documentation of the original installation, and a few new mixed-media works. Mr. Sonfist will be on hand at the opening reception, where he will sign copies of the new survey “Nature: The End of Art” (Gori Foundation). Reception: Tonight, 6-8 p.m., free. WORLD TRAVELER Allen Frame photographs his friends and acquaintances in situations that are not fully staged but are not as casual as they appear at first glance, either. An exhibit at Gitterman Gallery collects photographs from Mr. Frame’s last 10 years of work, including images from Europe, Russia, and Mexico. Through Saturday, June 4, Wednesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Gitterman Gallery, 170 E. 75th St., between Third and Lexington avenues, 212-734-0868, free.
