ROOMS OF THEIR OWN The 34th annual Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Decorator Show House – a 50-foot-wide townhouse taken over by more than 20 interior designers – opens today to the public. Established designers such as Mario Buatta and Charlotte Moss join newcomers in making over the spaces. Proceeds go to the Bronx-based youth center.

Eric Cohler Design created room 6, above, titled “A Landing for Living and Lounging.” Larry Laslo’s “What Is … Black, White, and Suite?” room, at right, includes a black chandelier by Philippe Starck for Baccarat. The floor is covered in a goat hair rug and the bed is wrapped in a charcoal and gray chenille.
