OPERA WITH A TWIST The East Village Opera Company, which consists of a five-piece band, string quartet, and two singers, performs its renditions of opera’s “greatest hits.” The repertoire, all performed full-length in the original languages, includes pieces from “Rigoletto,” “Carmen,” and “Turandot.” Saturday, 7 p.m. doors open, Irving Plaza, 17 Irving Place at 15th Street, 212-777-6800, $25.
