FOUR AFTER MIDNIGHT The Reggie Washington 4tet, headed by bassist Reggie Washington, performs as part of the Late Night Groove Series. The other members of the ensemble are keyboardist Jason Lindner, saxophonist Jacques Schwarzbart, and drummer Gene Lake. ORCHESTRAL HIGHLIGHTS Carnegie Hall comes back to life after its holiday break with a performance by the Met Orchestra conducted by James Levine.The guest soloists are soprano Renee Fleming and bass Julien Robbins. The program features Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” Fantasy Overture and the Letter Scene from “Eugene Onegin”; Berg’s “Altenberg Lieder, Op. 4”; Wagner’s Overture and Bacchanale from “Tannhauser,” and Strauss’s Closing Monologue from “Capriccio.” Sunday, 8 p.m., Carnegie Hall, Isaac Stern Auditorium, 881 Seventh Ave. at 57th Street, 212-247-7800, $46-$155.


IN PRAISE OF STEVENS The Metropolitan Opera Guild and Opera News honor mezzo soprano Rise Stevens. Pianist Van Cliburn and mezzo soprano Jennifer Larmore serve as co-hosts, and the event features appearances by Barbara Cook, Denyce Graves, Kitty Carlisle Har t, Anna Moffo, and Patrice Munsel. TOBIN’S TUNES English vocalist and songwriter Christine Tobin performs at Joe’s Pub, accompanied by guitarist Phil Robson, bassist Dave Whitford,and jazz drummer Billy Hart.
