WINTER AND PAPER McSweeney’s Publishing celebrates the release of two books, “The Facts of Winter,” by Paul La Farge, and “The People of Paper,” by Salvador Plascencia. Adam Levin joins them to read from his contribution to the latest issue of Mc-Sweeney’s literary magazine, which, in typically precious fashion, comes with a comb. PRESIDENTIAL FATHERS The curator of the papers of presidential families at the Library of Congress, Gerard Gawalt, and his wife, Ann, give a reading of some letters between American presidents and their daughters. The fatherly writers include John Adams,Thomas Jefferson, and Lyndon Johnson.
