AND THE WINNER IS… The New School presents all 20 finalists for this year’s National Book Award, each of whom reads for five minutes from a nominated work. A director of the school’s writing program, Robert Polito, is host of the event and the author of “The History of Love” (Norton), Nicole Krauss , is emcee. MARRIAGE IN CRISIS As part of its Medgar Evers College Writers’ Series, the Brooklyn Public Library presents Elizabeth Nuñez, who reads from “Grace: A Novel” (Ballantine), about a pair of middle-class African-American academics who struggle to rescue their failing marriage in the face of divergent political ideologies.
