OSSUARY INSIGHT
A co-director of new excavations at the Roman fort at Yotvata, Israel, Jodi Magness, gives a lecture on ossuaries and the burials of Jesus and James. She is the author of “The Archaeology of Qumran and The Dead Sea Scrolls” (Eerdmans ). BRONZED BEAUTIES
Victoria Avery of the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies lectures on the life and bronze collection of Lt. Col. Mildmay Thomas Boscawen (1892-1958).Boscawen was an explorer, naturalist, and botanist who owned large plantations in East Africa. His collection of bronzes is on display at the Frick Collection as part of an exhibit from the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, England.
