HISTORIC GRAVES H. Arthur Bankoff of Brooklyn College and Amanda Sutphin of the Landmarks Preservation Commission discuss the history and fate of New York City’s former potter’s fields, the burial grounds of poor and unidentified people. The talk is presented by the Museum of the City of New York and the Historic Districts Council. SURVIVAL STORY Authors Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn discuss their new book, “102 Minutes: The Untold Story of the Fight To Survive Inside the Twin Towers” (Times Books). Mr. Dwyer is also the coauthor of “Two Seconds Under the World” (Ballantine), about the 1993 attack on the Trade Center. FORMER KINGDOM The Bard Graduate Center presents “The Kingdom of Siam: The Art of Central Thailand, 1350-1800,” a lecture by curator Forrest McGill.A vast amount of Siamese artwork was lost during the 1767 Burmese invasion, but Mr. McGill discusses surviving works such wood carvings, jewelry, and sculptures of Hindu deities. BROOKLYN REMEMBERS The Brooklyn Arts Council presents a seminar on the tradition of memorial arts in Brooklyn, including a piece that commemorates the Brooklyn residents who died in the attacks of September 11, 2001. Audience members are encouraged to participate in the discussion.
