EXTRAORDINARY EVENING Michael Scheuer, who served as the chief of the bin Laden unit at the CIA’s Counterterrorist Center from 1996 to 1999, joins a panel discussion on the practice of “extraordinary rendition.” He is the onceanonymous author of “Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror and Through Our Enemies’ Eyes.” The talk is sponsored by the Crowley Program in International Human Rights. CARING FOR REPUTATIONS Magda Salvesen discusses issues raised in her book “Artists’ Estates: Reputations in Trust” (Rutgers University Press). It explores the art world from the perspective of heirs and professionals responsible for an artist’s legacy. Ms. Salvesen, who conducted the interviews for the book, is the widow of the second-generation Abstract Expressionist painter Jon Schueler. Diane Cousineau edited the book.
