Parents in search of a place where youngsters can safely roam or embark on geographic adventures in the city are in luck. A new center that focuses on teaching geography and the sciences, Wild Blue, offers a variety of courses and workshops for children between ages 3 and 10. Among the available classes is “Around the World in 8 Weeks,” geared to students ages 5 to 7, in which a different culture is introduced each week. During the week devoted to India, for instance, students visit a replica of an Indian market to learn how to make a spicy, native dish. For complete information and to enroll, go to wildbluekids.com (401 E. 76th St. at First Avenue, 212-628-3582).
