Hotelier Andre Balazs’s vision for New York City’s first Standard Hotel, which straddles the High Line at 848 Washington St. in the meatpacking district, is coming to life. The 344-room hotel on West 13th Street is slated to open next year. Mr. Balazs aims to offer guests direct access to the High Line via a stairway from the hotel; the plans are being worked out with the city.
