ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13
This no-nonsense updating of the 1976 John Carpenter classic is loud, vulgar, and more than a little bit silly. It’s also an enjoyably acted, skillfully made, rough-and-tumble B-movie of the kind no one bothers to (re)make anymore.
DEAD MAN (MoMA)
