• ‘The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World,’ Alan Greenspan’s much-anticipated memoir of his 18 years as the chairman of the Federal Reserve, goes on sale in bookstores nationwide. Mr. Greenspan will be speaking at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square at 7 p.m. to promote the book. Tuesday night, Mr. Greenspan will be interviewed by his wife, Andrea Mitchell, at the 92nd Street Y.

• DailyCandy.com, the fashion-forward Web log for urbanites, launches DailyCandyKids.com for hip children (or, rather, the blog-savvy parents of said children) in New York and three other cities.

• The Federal Reserve is scheduled to meet in Washington. Many anticipate the first of three rate cuts for the year.

• Lehman Bros. is scheduled to report its third-quarter earnings.
