SWISS AND AMERICAN OUTSIDERS The Andrew Edlin Gallery presents “Realms of Creation: Wolfli and Darger, Side by Side.”The exhibition shows seven works by Adolf Wolfli, a violent schizophrenic patient from Switzerland who became calm when making art, and five drawings by Henry Darger, an orphan who lived in isolation in Chicago. EARLY WORKS The recipients of the 2005 Emerging Artists Fellowship hold their outdoor exhibition in Socrates Sculpture Park. One artist, David Shapiro, spent the summer removing abandoned bicycle frames and collecting them for his installation “Left for Dead.” Through March 5, 10 a.m.-sunset, Socrates Sculpture Park, 32-01 Vernon Boulevard at Broadway, Long Island City, Queens, 718-956-1819, free.
