FIFTY YEARS OF PAINTING “Robert S. Neuman: Fifty Years” is on display at the Allan Stone Gallery. The show features Mr. Neuman’s abstract paintings from his early “Black Paintings,” to a series of whimsical works illustrating man’s journey to paradise, to the recent “Lame Deer” series reflecting the Native American experience. John Goodrich wrote in The New York Sun that Mr. Neuman “is a believer: He’s all heart, with the triumphs and shortfalls to match.” Through Saturday, March 4, Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Allan Stone Gallery, 113 E. 90th St., between Park and Lexington avenues, 212-987-4997, free.
CAESAR’S PALACE Ray Caesar’s digital artwork is on display through this weekend in Chelsea. He starts by “sculpting” using three-dimensional computer software, then “wraps” his structures in digital texture. The images on display in “Sweet Victory” are mostly of children, dressed up and often at play. Through Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Jonathan Levine Gallery, 529 W. 20th St. at the West Side Highway, no. 9E, 212-243-3822, free.
