BOTANICAL BEAUTY Garden photographs by Herbert Hoover go on display this weekend at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Mr. Hoover, who is based in New York,creates images of classical botanical subjects by using historical alternative photographic processes. His pictures are shot with macro-lensed cameras and lensless pinhole cameras, then printed using a variety of historical processes. Reception: Saturday, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Exhibit: Saturday through Sunday, April 2, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Steinhardt Conservatory Gallery, 900 Washington Ave., near Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, 718-623-7200, $5 general, $3 seniors and students (Tuesdays: free for all, Fridays: free for seniors, members, and children under 16).
