AID TO ANIMALS At the Wildlife Conservation Society’s black-tie spring gala, “Safari!” guests will enjoy cocktails by the sea lion pool and dinner and dancing near the penguins and polar bears. The organization’s junior committee, the Conservation Council, sponsors an after-party with a buffet dinner and dancing. Tomorrow, 6:30 p.m. cocktails, 8 p.m. dinner and dancing, 9 p.m. after-party, Central Park Zoo, Fifth Avenue at 64th Street, 914-235-1272 gala, $1,000-$5,000 gala tickets, 718-220-5090 after-party tickets, $125-$300 after-party.


CHARITY FOR CHILDREN Edie Falco and Liv Tyler serve as honorary chairwomen at a benefit for the pediatric programs at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Thursday, 6-10 p.m., Thalassa Restaurant, 179 Franklin St., between Hudson and Greenwich streets, 212-356-4648, $150.


BRONX PARADISE “Ave del Paraiso,” the spring gala for the Bronx Museum of the Arts, celebrates South American style. Guests will enjoy tango, samba, and bossa nova dance performances, along with cocktails and regional hors d’oeuvres. Thursday, 7-10 p.m., Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse at 165th Street, Bronx, 718-681-6000 ext. 139, $350 and above.


GLAMOUR GIRLS (AND GUYS) The junior committee of the New York City Alzheimer’s Association presents its annual gala. This year’s theme is “This Side of Paradise,” and guests are instructed to “dress to look and feel glamorous.” Saturday, 9 p.m.-1 a.m., SunWest Studios, 450 W. 31st St., between Ninth and Tenth avenues, 10th floor, 212-983-6906 ext. 221, $125 in advance, $150 at the door.
