UNDER THE BLUE WHALE The Museum of Natural History kicks off its social season with the Museum Gala, which includes dinner, dancing, and a live auction with James Niven of Sotheby’s. Proceeds from the event go toward the museum’s educational and scientific programming. OPERA AFTERNOON After a performance of composer Rachel Portman’s operatic reinvention of “The Little Prince,” guests are invited to a luncheon party where they can have their faces made up as a character and make their own ice cream sundae.
