KIDD STUFF Book designer Chip Kidd signs “Chip Kidd, Book 1: Work, 1986-2006” (Rizzoli), which collects all his book covers and designs, as well as hundreds of developmental sketches annotated by Mr. Kidd and some of the authors with whom he has worked. Mr. Kidd’s original artwork book covers, correspondence with authors and artists, sketches, and press clippings are currently on display at Cooper Union (through Saturday, February 4, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday, noon-5 p.m., Cooper Union, School of Art, second floor, 7 E. 7th St. at Third Avenue, 212-353-4195, free).
