THUNDER AND LIGHTNING The Theatre of the Riverside Church debuts “Sango – Lord of Thunder,” a dance drama performance. Sango (pronounced Shongo) is a West African Yoruban diety, the god of fire, thunder, lightning, rain, and male fertility. The drama examines his coming-of-age story. BROWN’S TROUPE Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Trisha Brown Dance Company performs three original pieces choreographed by its namesake artistic director.
