CUTTING-EDGE DANCE The fifth annual d.u.m.b.o. dance festival celebrates with performances by more than 90 choreographers and companies, curated by Young Soon Kim. Highlights include works by Amos Pinhasi, Augusto Soledade, Brendan McCall, and Freespace Dance. SENSEDANCE SENSIBILITY Artistic director and choreographer Henning Rubsam leads his dance company, Sensedance, in a series of performances titled “Dinner Is West.” Guest performers include Melissa Morrissey, Ramon Thielen, and Andrea Long from the Dance Theatre of Harlem. LANDING IN GEAR A trip to Eritrea in North Africa inspired choreographer Bebe Miller’s latest program, “Landing/Place.” The piece merges live movement with Vita Berezina-Blackburn’s animation and Maya Ciarrocchi’s video projected on two large scrims. Composer Albert Mathias performs his original score as live accompaniment.
