AFTERNOON ART Young children can dance, read, and draw in the Whitney Museum’s galleries at an afternoon art program. The program is for families with children between ages 3 and 5. Thursday, 3-4 p.m., Whitney Museum of American Art, 945 Madison Ave. at 75th Street, 212-671-5300, $8 each family, registration required.
