FORTE AND PIANO The New York Philharmonic presents a Very Young People’s Concert. The theme of the show, designed for children ages 3 to 5, is “Loud and Soft” and will feature music by Mozart and Haydn. Timpanist Joseph Pereira plays a variety of percussion instruments to lead concertgoers in loud and soft games and violist Dorian Rence leads the audience through the second movement of Haydn’s Symphony No. 94 “Surprise.” Sunday, 3 p.m., Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center, 129 W. 67th St. at Broadway, 212-875-5656, $16.
