BEING GREEN The South Street Seaport Museum celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a free evening of green-themed cultural programs. Children can listen to Irish stories and make lucky crafts (6-9 p.m.). For grown-ups, author Mary Kelly discusses her book “The Shamrock and the Lily: The New York Irish and the Creation of a Transatlantic Identity, 1845-1921” (Peter Lang Publishing) (7 p.m.). The galleries – which feature 19th-century graffiti in Gaelic and English, left by Irish immigrants who worked in the building – will be open all evening. Tomorrow, 5-9 p.m., South Street Seaport Museum, 12 Fulton St., between South and Front streets, 212-748-8758, free.
