REINDEER GAMES Hamid Sardar’s “The Reindeer People” is a portrait of a family of Dukha reindeer nomads as they follow a migration route through the forests of northern Mongolia. DIETRICH IN THE DARK Marlene Dietrich did not allow director Maximilian Schell to film her for his documentary “Marlene” (1984). Instead, he tape-recorded an interview with the by-then-elderly screen star and set the result to a montage of newsreels, snapshots, and clips from “The Blue Angel” onward. LIGHT = ACTION Solar One, a solar-powered building located on a two-acre plot along the East River, presents the Solar-Powered Film Festival. Up next, Catherine Kellner stars in Leslie McCleave’s “Road” (2005) as a freelance photographer who surveys environmental disaster areas, even as her relationship with her boyfriend becomes a disaster area of its own. Tonight, 8:45 p.m., Stuyvesant Cove Park, at East 23rd Street and FDR Drive, 212-688-4800, $6 donation.


GO, GIDGET, GO The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s outdoor film festival screens a series of water-themed movies against a backdrop of the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. Tonight a DJ spins surfing tunes before a showing of “Gidget.” Tonight, sunset, Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park, along the East River between Main and New Dock streets, free.
