SONDHEIM’S SELECTION Composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim has chosen 15 films from the collection of the Museum of Modern Art for the “Artist’s Choice” screening series. First up is the Polish film “Kontrakt” (1980), written and directed by Krzysztof Zanussi. The film is a social comedy about Poland in the 1970s (tonight, 6 p.m., Saturday, 4 p.m.). The series also includes work by Hal Hartley, Stanley Kubrick,Akira Kurosawa, Louis Malle, and Gus Van Sant. Above right, Edward G.
