LONG ISLAND SIPS
The Long Island Wine Council presents “Windows on Long Island Wine,” a tasting of local vintages paired with signature dishes. Participating restaurants include Aquavit, Bouley, Spice Market, SushiSamba, Tabla, and an as-yet-unnamed restaurant to be opened on Perry Street by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The tasting raises funds for the Earth Pledge Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainable agriculture. Tonight, 7-9:30 p.m., Capitale, 130 Bowery, between Grand and Broome streets, 212-725-6611 ext. 225, $125 in advance, $150 at the door, $250 VIP tickets.
