LISTENING TO WINE, TASTING MUSIC Winemaker Clark Smith conducts a tasting that explores the connection between wine and music. He’ll pair seven vintages with various types of music, polling tasters for their responses to the combinations from rock ‘n’ rose to classical and cabernet. The workshop also looks into how lighting affects the perception of wine. Tonight, 7 p.m., Nolita House, 47 E. CRAFTY CHEF The chef and owner of the Flatiron District restaurant Craft, Tom Colicchio, discusses and signs his cookbook “Craft of Cooking” (Clarkson N. Potter). It’s easy for attendees to taste Mr. Colicchio’s wares: A spinoff of Craft, ‘wichcraft, sells sandwiches and salads at the food kiosks in Bryant Park, where the event takes place.
