WHITE, WHEAT, OR RYE? Women Chefs and Restaurateurs presents a cheese and bread tasting (along with some wine). Rob Kaufelt of Murray’s Cheese, and Ann Burgunder and Toy Dupree of Amy’s Bread preside. Pairings include fresh crottin goat cheese with black olive bread and epoisses with whole wheat walnut bread. BAKER’S DOZEN A Web site founded by the French Culinary Institute, www.pastryscoop.com, hosts 12 pastry chefs as part of its second annual Sweet Success Conference. Workshops feature demonstrations on chocolate desserts, doughnuts, cake decorating, truffles, cheesecakes, and more.
