AMERICAN COOKING Joan Nathan discusses and signs her new cookbook,”The New American Cooking” (Knopf). In an exploration of how world cuisine has influenced the American table, she talked with chefs, home cooks, farmers, and restaurant owners, and came up with 300 recipes from across the country.
