RESTAURANT WEEK NYC & Company presents the annual summer Restaurant Week. Restaurants including Vong, Tabla, Artisanal, and Gramercy Tavern offer lunch for $24.07, and dinner for $35. Many restaurants are extending the offer through Labor Day. Today through Friday and Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21, times and locations vary, 212-484-1222. RED RED WINE The River to River Festival and Quartino restaurant present an Italian organic wine tasting, with wines served in the traditional quartino carafe. Wines are matched with regional antipasti. Tonight, 5 p.m., Quartino restaurant, 21 Peck Slip at Water Street, 212-349-4433, $25 for two.

SHOCHU FOR TWO The Japanese restaurant Sachiko’s on Clinton presents a shochu tasting, featuring three types of the Japanese vodka made from wheat, rice, and sweet potatoes. Dishes such as yakitori and kushiage (skewered and deep-fried meats and vegetables) are featured. RUM ROGUES The American Museum of Natural History presents “Adventures in the Global Kitchen: Rum,” featuring a discussion on the history of rum by author Wayne Curtis. Samples of the 23-year-old Ron Zacapa Centenario rum, and mini mojitos and bombos (rum, water, sugar, and nutmeg) are offered. OLIVE BRANCH Agata & Valentina Ristorante presents a Sicilian olive oil tasting featuring oils made by producer Manfredi Barbera.Featured dishes include pastry chef Eileen Guastella’s ricotta and olive oil gelato.
