FOR THE RECORD St. Bartholomew’s Church, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and the cast of the musical comedy spoof “Altar Boyz” attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest carol service. MERRY MCGARRIGLES Folk singers Kate and Anna McGarrigle perform a Christmas concert with guests including Emmylou Harris, Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, and Teddy Thompson. MERRY MARIONETTES The Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theater presents “Christmas Carol, Oy! Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa, Happy Ramadan,” a modern adaptation of the Dickens’ classic. Puppet master Vit Horejs directs and performs with almost 40 different marionettes. Holiday songs are in Czech, English, Hebrew, and Swahili. ROUND AND ROUND An exhibit of nontraditional wreaths goes on display today at a Central Park gallery. Contributors include artists, craftspeople, and botanists, using materials such as feathers, barbed wire, rubber tires, and forged steel. More than 20 wreaths are on view, including Madeline Yanni’s “Winter Wonderland,” a grapevine wreath festooned with juniper, Australian daisy, moss, and more; Molly Sullivan’s untitled wreath made of twigs and paper, and Beryl Brenner’s untitled colored glass wreath. Through Wednesday, January 4, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Arsenal Gallery, the Arsenal in Central Park, Fifth Avenue at 64th Street, third floor, 311 for information, free.
