OH, JIMMY “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” features actors performing the classic holiday tale in the style of a 1940s radio play, complete with sound effects and multiple characters. DECK THE HALLS IN HARLEM A long tradition in the Harlem community, the 30th anniversary of the annual community tree lighting ceremony, is celebrated with a festive outdoor concert. A weatherman for the local FOX-5 TV affiliate WNYW, Mike Woods, is host of the event. Featured performers include soul singer Jeremiah, a gospel artist, Byron Cage, and the IMPACT Repertory Theatre. JAZZY CHANUKAH CONCERT The Center for Religious Inquiry at St. Bartholomew’s Church and the Consul General of Israel present a Chanukah concert featuring the Avishai Cohen Group. A jazz trumpeter, Mr. Cohen leads an ensemble of Israeli musicians who perform traditional jazz, African, and Israeli music. Featured performers include the Church’s Boy & Girl Choristers. A CAROL ON THE RADIO Strand Bookstore and classical music station WQXR present a reading of the Charles Dickens story “A Christmas Carol.” Radio announcers Jeff Spurgeon, Annie Bergen, and Elliott Forrest are among featured readers.
