WHITMAN SHOW The exhibit “Walt Whitman and the Promise of America 1855-2005” traces the influence of the work “Leaves of Grass” in celebration of the work’s 150th anniversary. Through December, Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., South Street Seaport Museum, Schermerhorn Row Galleries, 12 Fulton St. at Front Street, 212-748-8600, $8 general, $6 seniors and students, $4 children ages 5-12, free for children under 5.
