PASSION OF SONDHEIM
Lincoln Center’s “American Songbook” series concludes with three performances of Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical “Passion.” Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, and Michael Cerveris appear in the story of a 19th-century Italian Army officer who carries on an epistolary affair with a married woman. Tonight’s performance is part of Lincoln Center’s spring gala. Beverly Sills serves as host of tomorrow’s performance, which will be broadcast live on PBS.
